Hannah Torreira (b. 2003) is an artist learning about herself through multimedia. She creates impasto works that grab the attention of viewers, to think about their emotions and feelings. One may find comfort or discomfort in the texture. Never wanting to waste any paint, she incorporated the scraps in her works this is what she hopes adds texture and intrigue to her paintings. She aims to create works that make the viewer feel strong senses of emotion. Whether there emotions that are joyful of frightening are all dependent on her.

The subject matter Hannah strives to address in her works is the female experience, her experience, and things she finds of interest about the state of the world. She wants to find ways to bring out an emotional connection with what someone sees. She wants the viewer to interact with her pieces both on a physical level and an emotional level. She believes that since being a woman is something that is so easily available to her, why not paint about it.
